we kicked off mommy's day one day early on saturday. while brayden and i had tea with my very sweet friend valerie, tommy went to the gym and then made a run for some flowers. when baby boy and i returned home that afternoon there were some yellow tulips with a sweet note sitting on the counter for me. it was a day early but he figured he wouldn't be able to get away on sunday without me wondering what he was up to [he knows me too well!]. on sunday we drove up to west seattle area to a sweet little beach called alki beach. of course, since i was in charge of reading the directions we got a bit lost but it ended up being a great thing! we spotted pcc natural market on the side of the road a bit up the hill from our original destination [on california street. yay!]. as you can see from photo number one, we ended up with a feast of food from their hot bar and deli section. it was all so yummy! brayden napped away while tommy and i ate [he's such a good little man]. after eating waaayy more food than we probably should have, we headed down to the water. can you see the space needle in the background? oh yes, and that little blue beanie is brayden. it got a bit chilly so he was all snuggled up against momma. thank you for such a great mothers day tommy & brayden! i am so grateful for our new little family and all the love we share.
